The Fox Valley Folk Music and Storytelling Festival has found a new home — and what a home it is! Nestled in the heart of Geneva, IL, Wheeler Park is the perfect backdrop for this cherished Labor Day weekend celebration of folk culture, community, and creativity.
For almost five decades, the Festival has brought together musicians, storytellers, dancers, and dreamers from all walks of life. Now, with its fresh setting among Wheeler Park’s rolling greens, shade trees, and welcoming spaces, the festival experience feels more vibrant than ever.
Expect traditional & original songs, foot-stomping live music, captivating storytelling, interactive workshops, kids' activities, and spontaneous jam sessions that spring up like magic. Bring your lawn chair, your instruments, and your love for the folk tradition — this is more than an event. It’s a gathering of kindred spirits, where culture is shared, friendships are formed, and joy takes center stage.

Join us on August 30th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Tobias Music in Downers Grove for an inspiring and laughter-filled workshop with acclaimed storyteller Jennifer Munro. In “Creating Stories that Matter and Make Us Smile,” Jennifer will guide participants through the art of crafting meaningful, memorable, and joy-filled tales.
This workshop is open to everyone who tells stories—on stage, on paper, around the dinner table, or at bedtime. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, you'll leave with tools, inspiration, and a few laughs along the way. Come connect with a vibrant community of storytellers and rediscover the power of a well-told tale.
